U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blincoln pressed China to defend human rights and democracy in Tibet, Hong Kong and Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Regions in his first call with Yang Jietsu’s diplomatic politician at the Chinese Communist Party.

At a Senate approval hearing earlier, Secretary Blincoln said he would continue the Donald Trump administration’s public hardline. He said he agreed with the State Department’s decision under the Trump administration that China is committing genocide in Xinjiang.
