The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) announced that as of 0 o’clock on the 6th, there were 393 new patients with new coronavirus infection (Corona 19), and a total of 8,524 patients. Among the new patients, 366 were domestically and 27 were imported from abroad.

The number of inspections on the previous day was 78,811 in total, with 4,6175 suspicious reports, and 32,406 (56 confirmed cases) at temporary screening inspections in the metropolitan area.

The number of domestic outbreaks by region was 142 in Seoul, 108 in Gyeonggi, and 24 in Incheon, with 274 in the metropolitan area. Other regions are Busan 14, Daegu 18, Gwangju 12, Daejeon 8, Ulsan 2, Gangwon 1, Chungbuk 2, Chungnam 13, Jeonbuk 1, Jeonnam 1, Gyeongbuk 4, Gyeongnam 10 , Jeju 6 people.

Overseas inflows increased by 11 people during the quarantine stage and 16 people from local communities. Inflow countries were the Philippines 1, India 1, Indonesia 4, Russia 2, UAE 3, Hungary 1, Austria 1, Turkey 1, USA 9, Argentina 1, Canada 2, Rwanda 1 People.

Up to this day, 388 new quarantines were released, a total of 70,505 (87.56%) quarantined, and 8,555 are currently being quarantined. There were 197 patients with severe gastric disorders, 5 deaths, and 1464 cumulative deaths. Corona 19’s fatality rate is 1.82%.

Meanwhile, the government decided to partially ease the restrictions on operating hours for multi-use facilities in the non-metropolitan area to 10 pm. However, the Seoul metropolitan area maintains the existing 9pm business restriction.

Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said at the Corona 19 Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters meeting held at the government office in Seoul on the morning of the 6th, “In the metropolitan area, more than 70% of all confirmed cases are concentrated, and the risk of spreading infection still remains, so the current 9:00 p.m. On the other hand, in areas other than the metropolitan area where the situation is gradually improving, the restrictions will be eased to 10:00 pm, but if the current situation is desired, we will respect the autonomy of local governments.”
