We announced the results of the meeting in the afternoon of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Final Inspection Committee.

The final inspection committee decided to approve the item for the Corona 19 antibody treatment’Rekironaju’ under the condition of submitting the results of the clinical trial 3rd phase.

However, the administration target is limited to high-risk patients with mild or moderate illness.

“High-risk group” here refers to people over 60,

A person with one or more of cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

In the case of COVID-19 treatment and vaccine

Prior to the approval, the verification advisory group composed of experts, the central pharmacist review committee, and the final inspection committee are asked to go through the ‘3rd step’ consultation.

Previously, the verification advisory group recommended the product approval of Rekirona for the administration of mild or moderate patients.

The subsequent central weakness limited the range of mild patients to high-risk groups.

Today’s final inspection committee came to the same conclusion as the ‘2nd stage’ Central Pharmacy.

Accordingly, Rekironaju became the first approved drug for Corona 19 as a drug developed in Korea.

It will be recorded as the third proven corona19 antibody treatment in the world.
