Although there was an announcement of the release, it seems difficult for the Korean Chemie crew to return to Korea immediately due to various problems.
Even with crews tied for nearly a month, it appears that Iran’s alleged environmental pollution investigation has not proceeded quickly.

The Korea Chemi is anchored off the coast of Bandarbas in southern Iran and is tied for nearly a month.
Iranian authorities have announced that they will release everyone except the captain, but it is not possible for the crew to get off the ship immediately.
The ship had to have 13 required crew members left, so it was not easy for the crew to get a shift to get off the ship.
In addition, 11 out of 20 sailors are nationals of Myanmar, whose borders have been blocked due to a recent military coup, so even if you get off the boat, there is no right place to go.
The ship management company explained that the sailors here also don’t want to leave the ship with the captain.
Even with long detention, it was found that there were no major problems with the health of our crew.
A few days before the release, I was able to make a short phone call with my family with Iranian permission.
However, there is an atmosphere that the investigation on environmental pollution claimed by Iran is not proceeding quickly.
An official at the Korea Chemiho management company said that although it is difficult to return to Korea right away, it is not a small achievement just for the crew to be able to live more freely than before.
