How has the lives of Seoul citizens changed after Corona 19? It was investigated that the time spent using media (books, newspapers, broadcasts, etc.) was more than before, and the working time was slightly reduced. Sleeping time also slightly increased. On the 4th of last year, the Seoul Metropolitan Government conducted an online survey of 1,000 residents (18 to 69 years old) in November of last year and announced the results compared to the previous year (November 2019). Last year, the time spent on media such as books, newspapers, magazines, broadcasts, and radio was 2 hours and 4 minutes, 18 minutes longer than a year ago (1 hour 46 minutes). In addition, the time for online and mobile games has also increased by 10 minutes a year from 43 minutes to 53 minutes. The time for culture and tourism has been greatly reduced. It decreased by more than 30% from 31 minutes to 20 minutes in a year. Sleep time increased by 9 minutes on average from 6 hours and 38 minutes to 6 hours and 47 minutes. However, there were some differences depending on age and economic activity. The number of employed increased by 7 minutes and the number of unemployed increased by 15 minutes. Also, those under the age of 30 increased by 19 minutes, but those over the age of 60 increased by only 5 minutes. On the other hand, working hours decreased by 12 minutes from 5 hours 31 minutes to 5 hours 19 minutes. The travel time was also reduced by 8 minutes from 1 hour and 9 minutes to 1 hour and 1 minute. As for the most difficult point in the situation of the spread of Corona 19 infection, 51.9% of respondents answered that they were anxious about the infection of Corona 19. Following that, 42.6% cited’life rules such as keeping distance and refraining from meetings’. Mental stress such as depression (27.6%), reduced cultural/tourism/leisure life (18.6%), and’lower income and lack of living expenses’ (17.6%) were followed. As for the newly discovered pleasure in Corona 19, 40% answered that they were’watching media’ and 28.5% said they were’walking in the neighborhood’.
