While a heavy preliminary warning was issued in the Gyeonggi area, regional and basic local governments started preparing for the safety of citizens on the way home from work.
According to Gyeonggi-do on the 3rd, the province started the first stage of emergency from the disaster and safety countermeasure headquarters at 5:30 pm on the same day.
In accordance with the first stage of emergency operation, 9,2719 tons of snow removal agents, 1574 snow removal vehicles, and 1038 personnel were deployed in 356 vulnerable sections such as Homaesil underpass in Suwon City.
As snowfall is expected to reach a maximum of 15 cm, the province has to carry out daily inspections three times before and after the heavy snow warning goes into effect on 699 structures vulnerable to snow cover, such as vinyl houses and old houses, which are concerned about personal injury.

In addition, measures were requested to prevent inconvenience in use such as spraying snow removal agents in advance for nine Corona 19 life treatment centers, and snow removal was made without blind spots by establishing a city-gun cooperation system on 254 border roads between cities and counties.
In the event of heavy snowfall, the province plans to promote bus reserves, extended operation, and canceling the absence of taxis.
Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, also held a’Reporting on the Response to Heavy Snowfall’ hosted by the First Vice Mayor and the Second Vice Mayor at the Disaster Safety Situation Room on the same day, and shared preparations with related departments.
On this day, emergency work began at 2 pm, and a total of 84 snow removal equipment such as snow removal vehicles, excavators, and sprinklers were used to spray salt water.
Also, starting at 5 pm, it was decided to spray snow removal agent on major roads. Suwon City has a total of 2659 tons of snow removal materials such as calcium chloride, eco-friendly snow removal agent, and salt as of this day.
As there is concern about road icing during the early morning hours, patrols will be strengthened to reinforce proactive preparation for major vulnerable areas.
Along with this, a disaster safety letter was sent to the citizens at 4 p.m., stating that a lot of snow was expected to fall, urging the citizens to use public transportation, clear the snow in front of my house, and be careful about sliding the road when passing.

Gyeonggi Icheon City also announced the issuance of heavy snow warnings through the city’s website.
The city of Icheon informed citizens of how to act according to heavy snow warnings, such as △clearing the eyes in front of my house and store △using public transportation △preparing winter equipment for cars △preparing emergency items.
