WHO Investigation Team Visits China Virus Research Institute

To find out the origin of the spread, an international investigation team from the World Health Organization (WHO) dispatched to Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, visits a research institute suspected of being the source of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

AFP news agency reported on the 3rd (local time) that the WHO International Investigation Team will visit the Wuhan Virus Research Institute under the Chinese Academy of Sciences to investigate the origin of Corona 19, citing a report by China’s state broadcaster CGNT.

CGTN said that the WHO investigation team will visit the institute to exchange opinions on the daily work of the staff, international scientific cooperation, and efforts and contributions to prevent infectious diseases.

The laboratory that the investigating team will visit is the place where the virus was suspected of leaking when the first corona19 confirmed in Wuhan in December 2019.

On the basis of this, former US President Donald Trump and his supporters raised a conspiracy theory that China intentionally leaked the Corona 19 virus.

Since quarantine on the 28th of last month, the WHO international search team has visited major sites related to Corona 19 in Wuhan such as the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, Animal Disease Centers, hospitals, and markets to collect information.
