Jeff Bezos resigns from Amazon’s CEO position.
Major foreign media including CNBC reported on the 2nd (local time) that Bezos will resign as Amazon’s CEO in the third quarter of this year.
Andy Jassie, who leads Amazon Web Services (AWS), will succeed Bezos as Amazon’s CEO.
Bezos will take over as chairman of the Amazon board of directors after CEO resignation. In addition, it plans to focus on management such as Space Origin, a space exploration company, and Washington Post, which is owned by private assets.
