Higher Health Administration “Insufficient data over 65” Vaccination is also possible at pharmacies
Even though the European Medicines Agency recommends vaccination for all ages, the reactions of EU member states vary

Following Germany, Italy and Sweden, France also decided to recommend vaccination of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford in the UK only under the age of 65.
The French Higher Health Administration (HAS) said in the afternoon of the 2nd (local time) that 50-65 years old and medical staff with health problems should be the first to have access to the AstraZeneca vaccine, AFP and Reuters reported.
Dominique Leguilludeck, head of HAS, met with reporters on the day to review the data submitted by AstraZeneca and said, “We still do not have enough data for people over the age of 65,” he said. “He said.
HAS also expressed an opinion that AstraZeneca’s vaccine can be vaccinated at pharmacies as it can be stored in a general refrigerator, unlike Pfizer-Bioentech and Moder vaccines, which must be distributed at cryogenic temperatures.
Earlier, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved AstraZeneca’s use of the vaccine and recommended vaccination for all ages, but some EU member states have not accepted it.
This is because AstraZeneca and Oxford University participated in clinical trials, because less than 10% of the elderly aged 65 or older participated in the clinical trial.
The German Vaccination Committee recommends that the AstraZeneca vaccine be given only to those under the age of 65, and the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) recommends first use for adults aged 18 to 54 years.
However, AIFA revised its opinion, saying, “If you are 55 years of age or older, it is useful to get an AstraZeneca vaccine if there is no risk to your health.”
Swedish health officials also agreed to recommend that the vaccine be allowed only for those under the age of 65 until further data are available that the AstraZeneca vaccine is effective for those over 65.
The multinational pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca is headquartered, and in the UK, the first in the world to approve the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine, the vaccine can be used by the elderly.
Many experts from the Korea Food and Drug Administration also commented that AstraZeneca vaccination is possible for elderly people 65 years of age or older.
