-Mutual cooperation such as promotion of hydrogen policy for ‘2040 Changwon Hydrogen Vision’ and invitation of public offering
-New business discovery and system development plan with 5G communication infrastructure and smart technology
[코리아포스트 한글판 최원석기자] LG Uplus announced on the 2nd that it has cooperated with the city of Changwon to promote the smart hydrogen industry as part of the ‘2040 Changwon Hydrogen Vision’ and signed a business agreement to secure the competitiveness of the smart hydrogen industry.
Under the ‘2040 Changwon Hydrogen Vision’, Changwon City aims to build a hydrogen-based eco-friendly energy self-sufficiency system in everyday life, discover future growth engines centered on the hydrogen industry, and lead the global hydrogen industry.
With this business agreement, the two sides will ▲ build a hydrogen industry cluster ▲ expand hydrogen mobility infrastructure ▲ cooperate with each other to discover and attract new hydrogen related projects.
To this end, LG Uplus decided to develop a system for each detailed project related to hydrogen policy applying 5G communication infrastructure and smart ICT technology.
In addition, the’Smart Hydrogen Bus’, which Changwon City and LG Uplus introduced together last year, is also planning to supply 100 additional units by 2022.
LG U+’s next-generation intelligent transportation system (C-ITS) content is provided through a special display linked with 5G technology to a smart hydrogen bus in Changwon City, the nation’s first officially operated hydrogen city bus.
LG U+’s next-generation intelligent transportation system provides drivers with traffic conditions and bus movement information based on high-precision positioning technology, and informs passengers of weather information and discount information of stores around the station.
In line with Changwon’s plans to expand hydrogen buses, LG Uplus is a hydrogen bus for Changwon citizens and local small business owners ▲Cleaning amount information ▲Shopping area and advertisement information around the route ▲Arrival stop location and estimated time of arrival ▲Bus distance information for efficient bus operation It plans to expand and provide services that citizens can experience.
“With LG U+’s excellent 5G network and ICT technology capabilities, we will be able to create synergies in the various hydrogen industries promoted by Changwon City,” said Taek-jin Choi, vice president of the corporate division of LG Uplus. “With this business agreement, Changwon City I will strengthen cooperation with him.”
Mayor Heo Seong-moo of Changwon City said, “Since the declaration of’Changwon, the hydrogen industry city,’ Changwon’s hydrogen industry policy has been leading the government’s hydrogen economy.” Based on this agreement, various smart technologies in connection with various hydrogen industries have been developed and demonstrated sequentially. “We will do our best to be reborn as a true’hydrogen industrial city Changwon’ by implementing it.”
