(Changwon = Yonhap News) Reporter Choi In-young = Professional baseball spring camp has started, but NC Dinos Koo Chang-mo (24) is focusing on rest. To complete the 2021 season in a healthy way.

On the 2nd, I met Chang-mo Koo at the audience seat of Masan Stadium in Changwon. On the ground, batters were practicing batting.

Gu Chang-mo said, “I am working hard for rehabilitation.”

Koo Chang-mo was excluded from this spring camp list. This is to completely heal the elbow area that hurt last year.

Goo Chang-mo took a break for more than two months after finding a sprain and a fine fracture in the elbow forearm after winning 9 consecutive victories last season.

After returning to the end of the season, Koo Chang-mo also appeared in the Korean series, but was diagnosed with insufficient bone density at the end of last year.

Gu Chang-mo explained, “There was no pain in the Korean series. I wasn’t uncomfortable even after it was over, but I had to spend a little more time in the hospital. It’s important to go to the end completely, so I’m working hard on rehabilitation.”

Changmo Koo is doing rehabilitation training in the same place as the players who participated in the camp.

He said, “The best rehabilitation is rest,” he said. “I don’t use arms, and I work out with weight training and running.”

He added, “It’s not a muscle but a bone problem, so I think I should eat a lot of good things and take good care of my body,” he added. “I take care of everything that’s good for my bones.”

Goo Chang-mo said, “It was regrettable” because he couldn’t join the camp.

The most important goal of the 2021 season for Koo Chang-mo is’completed’. “The first goal is to get through the season,” he stressed.

He laughed, “I couldn’t fill the ruled innings last year. It is my goal until I achieve the ruled innings. I hope to do it this year.”

Every year, various injuries caught Gu Chang-mo’s attempt to complete the season.

He made up his mind, saying, “I suffer from injuries every year, but I think I can’t get out if I think a lot of injuries, so I try not to care as much as possible.”

He said he was confident in pitching from the mound if he was able to recover from a healthy body.

Goo Chang-mo said, “I have gained experience since last year, so I have confidence in the technical aspects and game management.”
