Chey Jae-seong, chief political officer of the Blue House, appeared on MBC radio on the 2nd and said, “It is not a problem” when a public official of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy deleted files such as’the plan to build a North Korean nuclear power plant.

When a radio host asked how the Ministry of Industry officials deleted files related to the North Korean nuclear power plant, Choi said, “I have no choice but to tell you by analogy or guesswork,” and “I deleted the entire folder, not just one.” He argued that “it seems that the entire folder has been deleted because it was not deleted over time in a normal working situation. This is not a problem.”

Chief Choi said, “It is difficult to see it like this,’I checked all the individual items and deleted what might be a problem. It is not the subject of investigation. He added that (the files related to North Korean nuclear power plants) were lost in the process of deleting the entire folder.”

However, former Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon appeared on CBS Radio on this day and said, “It is the officials of the Ministry of Industry who show a behavior that keeps their eyes open from above and can’t breathe. If there is nothing to cut, why do you go into the office the night before the auditor’s audit and delete everything?”

People’s Power spokesman Kim Eun-hye also pointed out in a written comment the day before, “If the document was only reviewed by itself, why would it be deleted while changing the name into a complicated Finnish language?”
