The Ragnarok Series User Association urged the developer Gravity to manage Jeong-Do. It is argued that the company should actively respond to the resolution of the’operational issues’ occurring in each game. Gravity said it plans to clarify the current situation in addition to the existing announcements soon.

The Ragnarok IP-based game Origin, Online, and Zero User Alliance is holding a truck demonstration in front of the Gravity headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 1st. The protests run daily from 8 to 17:00 until the 5th. Users put a message to Gravity on the truck LED billboard.

Users pointed out at this meeting that “Gravity should listen to the voices of users and renovate hostile operations against users.”

Ragnarok Origin users also said through the game community recently, “If an existing bug is fixed, the same number of bugs are found again when new content is updated.” Opinions have been shown, such as repeating actions of disregarding opinions, and “do not detect nuclear users”.

Ragnarok Online asked Gravity for convincing clarifications such as’the allegations of abuse of management authority’ and’delayed updates’ and’fluid incidents’ at Zero.

On the streets, the voices of users from the sound of the speakers installed on the truck resonated. At one time, there was a situation where truck demonstrations were suspended for a while after being restrained by a person who is believed to be a building official. According to Mr. A, the user representative who planned the truck demonstration, the person took a picture of the scene and then interrupted the protest and left without revealing his or her identity. However, users are in the position that there is no problem because they have gone through a legitimate report of the assembly.

This demonstration is considered an unusual example in that a plurality of game users that the developer is servicing joined forces to take action. Users are having a problem with Gravity’s consistent service operation in its games.

reporter: What inconveniences have you had while using Ragnarok Origin?

Mr. A: There are so many, it is difficult to explain all of them, but a representative example is the’gear copy bug’ that occurred in the early days of the service.

Ragnarok Origin has an item called Gear that enhances character stats and skills. Gears can only be obtained from probabilistic items that can only be purchased with cash goods (nyangdarae). Users have been charging tens or millions of won or more to get the gear they want due to the nature of probability-type items.

However, there was a bug that allowed the gear to be copied, and many users at the time were greatly disappointed with the Gravity.

In recent years, an incident occurred in which a specific user suspected of using the hack caused damage to other users, and the wave was wide. The problem is that general users witnessed the incident and immediately collected evidence, such as photos and videos, and reported it to Gravity, but the response was uncertain.

When a report on suspicion of nuclear use is received, game companies should promptly conduct a thorough investigation and disclose the process, the list of abusers, and the results. However, in the announcement, there was no mention of how users reviewed the evidence presented, only that it was not an illegal program use case.

Gravity notifies users of problems that occur in the game at a level that users cannot understand. In some cases, bugs announced that they have been fixed are not actually resolved. If it is difficult to rectify the problem in a short period of time, I would believe and wait if I promised’I will fix it until when’, but every time I only see the contents of’fixing’.

Mr. A: Even if I reported a bug to the community or made a one-to-one inquiry to the customer center, it was always the same form of sincere answers. I thought that Gravity’s established communication channels were not functioning, and started a truck demonstration with Ragnarok Origin and PC Ragnarc Online and Zero users to urge improvement of the game’s service quality.

There are many opinions of users who want to convey to Gravity through on-site demonstrations, but the most important thing is communication. Communication such as user conferences that have been held so far is seen only as a means of promotion. When it comes to communication, I think that there should be feedback after listening to complaints and complaints from users. However, it is frustrating to write a script by selecting only the questions that are good to answer, and to say that the recorded video, which is not in real time, is called a round-table conference.

Therefore, I thought that it would be difficult to resolve the conflict over quality of service through the community, and prepared for the on-site demonstration.

Mr. A: Personally, as a user who enjoyed the original PC Ragnarok Online, I was happy when I heard the news that Origin was coming.
