[사회]Installation of the vaccination center at the National Medical Center is completed…Operated when the vaccine is introduced

Ahead of the corona 19 vaccination, the government announced that it had completed the installation of a central vaccination center at the National Medical Center. The central vaccination center is scheduled to begin operation when the vaccine is introduced.

On the 1st, the “Corona 19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team” (Director Eun-kyung Jeong) explained that the Central Vaccination Center was installed in the Corona 19 temporary quarantine treatment ward in the former US Army Corps’s site in Bangsan-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, where the National Medical Center will be newly constructed.

The Central Vaccination Center will inoculate the initial amount of COVID-19 vaccine such as Pfizer-Bioentech vaccine, prepare a standard model for vaccination centers, and conduct regional and regional vaccination center training.

The central vaccination center is divided into a waiting area for fever check, preparation of questionnaire, and reception, a vaccination area for doctors and vaccinations, and an observation area for monitoring adverse reactions after vaccination.

The supply and demand and operation plan for essential personnel such as doctors, nurses, vaccination targets, waiting managers, and administrative personnel will be finalized through mock training.

The promotion team said, “The Central Vaccination Center will focus on maintaining the cold chain necessary for the distribution of mRNA vaccines and monitoring adverse reactions after vaccination.”

The head of the Central Vaccination Center is directly under the chairman of the Central Clinical Committee of New Infectious Diseases Myung-don Oh.

The government plans to continue vaccination this month, starting with Corona 19 medical staff and residents and workers in nursing hospitals. In the second quarter, the elderly over 65 years old will be vaccinated, and in the third quarter, the vaccine will be expanded to the majority of adults.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention aims to form collective immunity by vaccinating all citizens except children, adolescents and pregnant women by November of this year.
