[아시아경제 김봉주 기자] On the way to work, a man in the United States who experienced a terrible accident in which he hit two deer by car and injured him won a lottery for $2 million (about 2.2 billion won) on the same day and became the hero of anti-war luck.

According to Fox News on the 27th (local time), Anthony Doe, who lives in Leland, North Carolina, USA, was hit by two deer that suddenly appeared while driving to work in a new car last week.

Anthony had hurt the animal in the morning, and even the new car broke, causing an angry and ominous thought. Unable to get rid of the sinister feeling, he went home to sleep instead of going to work.

Woke up the same evening, he checked the lottery, which had not yet confirmed the results. It was a lottery ticket bought at a local convenience store for three dollars.

When I checked the fourth ticket for the Mega Million lottery that matched the six numbers, I saw a ‘4’, followed by a number, followed by a number.

He was checking the lottery without much anticipation and suddenly shouted “Wow!” Five of the six numbers were correct. The probability of winning the lottery was 12.6 million times.

In addition, the original winnings of the lottery were 1 million dollars (about 1.1 billion won), but thanks to the purchase of a lottery that received twice the winnings, we met a bigger windfall.

Anthony immediately ran to his parents and informed them that he had won the lottery.

The winnings he received on the 25th, excluding taxes, amounted to 1.4 million dollars (about 1.65 billion won).

“I feel so good,” said Anthony, “I’m going to fix my parents’ house, repair the broken car, and pay my nephew’s car installment. I’ll use the rest for savings.”

Foreign media evaluated that this man’s story shows that no matter how terrible and bad days are, he can always get better.
