Jung Il-woo, who was enlisted as a social service worker, was called and disbanded in December last year.
“I was diagnosed with illness when I was 27,” said Jung Il-woo on the broadcast. “Because it was a time bomb, I was very anxious about not knowing when to die. “The depression came and I couldn’t go out of the house for over a month.” He confessed, “Then, I don’t know when people will die, but I thought about doing everything I wanted to do and enjoying the present.”
Earlier this year, Jung Il-woo mentioned his illness and cerebral aneurysm at the press conference for SBS drama’Haechi’ earlier this year. At that time, when asked if there were any similarities to Yeongjo, who played in the work, Jung Il-woo said, “I was the hardest when I was diagnosed with a disease called a cerebral aneurysm. When I heard that I didn’t know when I was going to die, I thought,’I have to live while enjoying each day’.”
A cerebral aneurysm is a condition in which cerebrovascular blood vessels swell abnormally and largely like a balloon. The risk of bursting increases as it swells. It mainly occurs in the part where the blood vessel is divided. Although the size is less than 10 mm, an aneurysm larger than this can sometimes occur. It occurs a lot in women in their 40s and 60s.
It can also occur when blood vessels are inflamed or damaged by trauma, or when there is a genetic problem with the vessel wall.
Cerebral blood vessels are born a lot in people who are naturally thin, so be careful if you have a family history. Atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, smoking, and stress that affect vascular health are also risk factors.
There is no clear prevention of cerebral aneurysm disease. People with risk factors for cerebral aneurysms such as high blood pressure, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity, smoking, drinking alcohol, etc., because they do not have any prognostic symptoms, it is best to perform cerebrovascular tests periodically.
