[시사포커스 / 이근우 기자] RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann opposes Hwang Hee-chan (25)’s loan transfer.

German football media’Kicker’ said on the 29th (Korean time), “Leipzig may show movement in the January transfer market, but Hwang Hee-chan will not be included.”

Director Nagelsmann said, “I had a long conversation with Hwang Hee-chan yesterday at a press conference ahead of the Leverkusen War on the 31st. We understand the hearts of players who have few contests, but we have to look back on how long training time has passed so far. He said there were few opportunities to show his skills.”

He added, “Hwang Hee-chan joined late and was injured, and he has been away from the team for a long time due to a new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) confirmed.”

Hwang Hee-chan, who was active at Red Bull Salzburg last summer, moved to the Bundesliga. But in Leipzig, he only helped 1 goal in 9 games. It seems that the condition did not return properly due to the aftermath of Corona 19.

Hwang Hee-chan is sluggish, but West Ham showed interest. Coach David Moyes found a replacement for Sebastian Haller and discussed the rental deal with Hwang Hee-chan, who has a lot of physical strength and activity.

Regarding this, Director Nagelsmann said, “It seems that Hwang Hee-chan wants to lease to hold the exhibition. I agree with him, but I don’t think it makes much sense to go on a lease right now. “It makes no sense to give up Hwang Hee-chan when we are unable to secure two more strikers.”

On the other hand, Leipzig is looking for a new striker due to the sluggish attack, and if he can’t recruit an attacker from this transfer market, Hwang Hee-chan’s loan transfer to West Ham is unlikely.
