Two years ago, it was announced that Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering will be sold to Hyundai Heavy Industries Group.

Recently, the Korea Development Bank made a public announcement that the acquisition process should be completed by the end of this year.

The Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Labor Union decided to continue the struggle against the sale, and Geoje City also gave its strength.

The people gathered in front of Geoje City Hall are the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering union.

It will be two years since the Korea Development Bank announced that it will sell Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering to Hyundai Heavy Industries Group on the 31st.

The Korea Development Bank also recently announced that the sale of Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering will be completed by the end of this year.

As the story of the sale, which had been quiet so far, came back to the surface, union members held a rally against the sale at the Blue House, Gyeongnam Provincial Office, and Geoje City Hall.

Geoje City also made a voice at the request of workers.

Geoje City insisted that the unilateral sale that ignored the will of the parties was invalid.

He explained that since last year, the mass layoffs of workers from partner companies and bankruptcy of subcontractors have continued due to the decrease in shipbuilding shipments.

The sale of Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering urged a review of the origin, saying that the local economy could be shaken.
