This is the reason why professors of dermatology at major university hospitals became nervous as the subject of interest of Cho became known as dermatology.

Thanks to the names of’national’ and’center’, the general public thinks that the NMC is dedicated to infectious diseases such as Corona 19 or only sees specialized treatment for the vulnerable, but in fact, NMC is highly popular as a dermatologist among medical students. It is not because it focuses on treatment such as burns occurring in industrial sites. When looking at the introduction of dermatology on the hospital’s homepage, patients are drawn with the phrase’not only skin diseases, but also skin beauty and management through equipment such as Nd-YAG, U-Beam, and IPL lasers’. According to this, three out of four medical staff are specialized in beauty. Only the remaining one is specialized in atopy, psoriasis, and skin cancer that are not related to beauty. NMC is a’national’ hospital that pays national taxes even with billions of laser treatment equipment, so treatments are performed at an incomparable price to famous dermatologists in Gangnam. For Mr. Cho, the barrier to entry is low, and if you want to open a dermatology clinic in the future, it is a great hospital.

At this point, it is the decision of the Ministry of Health and Welfare to suddenly increase the number of dermatology residents in NMC.

The popularity of dermatology is the same not only in NMC, but also in private hospitals, but the number of residents selected every year is very few even in the Big 5 hospital with a good training environment. This is due to the strict regulations on quota by the Ministry of Welfare. If the Korean Academy of Dermatology adjusts the appropriate number of people for each hospital in advance through training environment evaluation, the Ministry of Health and Welfare will finalize it. Until now, the number of personnel has been reduced due to lack of qualifications, but the Ministry of Welfare has never increased. However, the NMC dermatologist has never requested, let alone the society level, at the end of last year, the Ministry of Health and Welfare took the lead and increased the number of dermatology residents to NMC in the name of’separate quota’.

The Dermatological Society asked the Ministry of Health for background. Then, only the answer came back, “Why are you asking me why I did not reduce the number of requests for the society?” It is said that there was no reason to say that there was nothing that could be called’Eul’, although public opinion was infested with the Ministry of Health, which had no justification and ignored the procedure.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare is not without a justification. Since it is a public medical institution in charge of corona, it is planning to increase the number of residents. For this reason, in addition to the NMC, the number of dermatologists at the Central Veterans Hospital also increased. The strange thing is ▶NMC Department of Pediatrics hasn’t received any seats for several years already. It is a matter of increasing the number of gardens.

What is clear is that if the number of dermatology gardens is increased with Corona in front of this year, the door will be wider next year when Cho applies for a resident. This is the reason why the medical community raises the back word and suspicion of’the big picture for the people’. I hope that the gossiping that “President Moon is trying to pay off the debt through NMC President Chung Ki-hyun, who is his close friend,” is just the delusion of some sensitive doctors. But looking at the past of the Moon administration, it seems to be true for some reason. It is said that it is a plate that will destroy the fairness of selecting medical staff because it is not enough to collapse the fairness of college admissions to make a doctor.
