The number of new coronavirus infections in Korea (Corona 19) is expected to exceed 500 even in the announcement on the morning of the 28th. It will be 500 for two consecutive days following the previous day.
Although the number of people soared to 1,240 on the 25th of last month and then sank to 300 since mid-January, the outbreak of the’IM Mission’ group is spreading all over the country, and the quarantine authorities are tense.
According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government, there are a total of 471 new corona19 confirmed cases nationwide from 0 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the 27th.
There are 20 fewer than 491 people counted at the same time the previous day, but looking at the recent outbreak, the number of confirmed cases is expected to reach at least 500 at the midnight standard counting, which is the deadline, and as many as around 600 in the mid-to-late 500.
The successive group infections of IM Mission’s unlicensed educational facilities is the decisive cause of the increase in the number of new confirmed cases to 500 per day.
In the case of the Daejeon IEM International School and the Missionary Training Program (MTS), 176 new confirmed cases came out, followed by 147 cases at Gwangju Church, TCS Ace International School, and Gwangsan-gu TCS International School.
The number of confirmed cases may increase further as inspections are underway on 23 alternative school-type boarding-type educational facilities operated by IM Mission and 17 research facilities.
Taking this situation into account, the quarantine authorities will announce on the 29th whether to adjust social distancing (currently, the 2.5th stage in the metropolitan area, the second stage in the non-metropolitan area) and whether to extend the ban on meetings of five or more people.
In the last week (1.21~27), the number of new confirmed cases per day is 400 → 346 → 431 → 392 → 437 → 349 → 559. An average of 416.3 people per day.
