Knightley said she added a “nude ban” to her film contract since she became a mother in 2015.
Actress Keira Knightley, 35, has declared that she will not shoot nude scenes in a movie directed by a male director.
Nightly appeared on the Chanel Connects podcast on the 25th and explained the reason, saying, “I’m not completely against shooting nude scenes,” and “some of them are meaningless, and (nude shooting) is made with the eyes of men.”
Due to the influence of the Me Too movement over the past few years, the way actors shoot sex scenes has become a hot topic in the film industry.
Now, many Hollywood studios are hiring an’Intimacy coordinator’ before filming the sex scene. They play a role in helping actors shoot in a comfortable and respectful environment.
Knightley said she added a “nude ban” to her film contract after becoming a mother in 2015.
‘Men-centered gaze’
In an interview, Knightley said that if she could shoot a film that highlights her life experiences, she would like to work with a female director.
“If you make a story about maternal love and self-positivism, I’m sorry, but I think the film should be done with a female producer,” he said.
“If the movie is about maternal love or how special the body is, that is, the story of how one’s body looks completely different and changes in ways that are difficult to understand before becoming a mother, then a woman who can understand this process, I want to find out together,” he added.
But Nightly drew a line saying, “It’s really uncomfortable to move men’s eyes.”
Knightley saw that filming nudes was not superfluous in certain movies. However, he said that the part where the sex scene is really needed is that the band can be used to express the scene in a sexy way.
“I don’t want to shoot those horrible sex scenes where I get a lot of oil on my body and everyone makes strange noises. I’m not interested in it.”
He added, “Because I had two children, it would be better not to stand in front of naked men.”
Nightly climbed into stardom by appearing in films such as’Shooting Like Beckham’,’Atonment’, and’Pirates of the Caribbean’.
Last year, she starred in the movie’Miss Behavior’ about the women’s liberation movement in London in the 1970s.
He also made a hot topic by giving his daughter the Disney cartoon movie “The City Hall Restrictions”.
This is because the female characters in some works, such as’Cinderella’ and’The Little Mermaid’, are not able to escape from uneven sexual roles, such as excessive dependence on men.
