In addition, Democratic Party Rep. Nam In-soon said on the 26th, “I humbly accept the results of the National Human Rights Commission’s ex officio investigation on sexual harassment by former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon and deeply apologize to the victims.”

Earlier, the Human Rights Commission decided on the 25th to acknowledge some of the sexual statements made by Mayor Park to the victims as facts and to make recommendations to related agencies such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government to protect the victims and to prevent recurrence.

At the time of the incident, Rep. Nam, who was suspicious of conveying the accusation to the former mayor of Park, said, “It caused considerable confusion when I asked’what is unpleasant?’ through a phone call with the Seoul Gender News Agency. “I apologize for hurting all women, including the 20s and 30s, who have been fighting sexual harassment and gender discrimination, an organization devoted to the victims and women’s rights movement.”

Rep. Nam also referred to the victim as a’victim complainant’, saying, “The political authority has created misunderstandings and disbelief that seem to deny the victim’s damage,” and said, “My short thoughts caused the victim to suffer more. Once again, I deeply apologize to the victim.”

He added, “I will sympathize with the victim’s pain, and in particular, I will try not to cause any further secondary harm.” He added, “I will do my best to heal the victim’s pain and restore life.”

Rep. Nam said, “I thought that I had lived to improve women’s rights all my life, but through this incident, I looked back on how much I was lacking in myself,” and said, “I will fiercely reflect.”
