Gilead Science Korea newly appointed Lee Joo-yeon as the head of the medical department and Won-jun Cho as the general manager of the law.

Lee Joo-yeon, who started as a medical advisor at Sanofigenzyme and Sanofiaventis, served as the medical director of the General Medicine and Established Products divisions of Sanofiaventis, and has served as the general manager of Biogen Korea Medical since 2017.

He plans to lead the medical department of Gilead Science Korea based on his expertise recognized in various fields such as neurological diseases, rare diseases, chronic kidney diseases, and cardiovascular diseases.

Lee graduated from Yeungnam University College of Medicine and completed a residency course in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Samsung Medical Center.

Cho Won-joon, who was appointed as the General Manager of Legal Affairs and Compliance, is a lawyer in New York State, USA. For 15 years, he has performed various duties at major domestic law firms such as Sejong Law Firm and Jipyeong Law Firm, leading companies and multinational corporations. He has served as Head of Compliance.
