KEVT is a system that evaluates and certifies electric vehicle maintenance technologies for Kia’s maintenance partner AutoQ and its maintenance engineers, through which Kia improves customer reliability by improving the quality of electric vehicle maintenance services and establishes itself as a top-notch electric vehicle company. Kia Motors plans to operate KEVT by classifying it into two classes, Basic and Pro, according to the level of technical competence.
In order to obtain the basic level in the personal maintenance technology certification for AutoQ engineers, take a written evaluation after completing the two training courses,’EV Essential’ and’EV Diagnosis I’. After completing the training on’EV Diagnosis II’, you must pass the evaluation.
The curriculum consisted of △EV Essential for understanding electric vehicle maintenance safety and specialized systems, △EV Diagnosis I, how to diagnose and repair electric vehicles and how to replace parts, and △EV Diagnosis II, which includes high-level electric vehicle diagnosis and repair and understanding of electric vehicle new technologies.
In the case of AutoQ partners, certification is granted according to whether they have an electric vehicle maintenance infrastructure, but in order to receive the basic grade, it is necessary to secure the basic equipment necessary for electric vehicle maintenance and at least one engineer who has acquired the KEVT basic grade.
To achieve the Pro level, you must have at least one pro-level engineer and at least one basic-level engineer, including an electric vehicle work bay, a dedicated workspace. Auto-Q suppliers who have acquired the Basic and Pro level qualifications are given a certificate of qualification.
In the evaluation of personal maintenance technology and certification of AutoQ suppliers, the Basic will be held from February and the Pro will be held from next year, and Kia Motors secured education and infrastructure so that more than 50% of the nation’s AutoQ can attain the KEVT Basic level by the first half of this year Plan to promote.
