According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, after the call center employee was initially confirmed on the 22nd, 21 co-workers were additionally confirmed on the 23rd. Of these, 21 were confirmed in Seoul.
As a result of testing a total of 81 people by the city of Seoul, there is a possibility that the number of confirmed cases will increase further because the test results have not yet been released for the remaining 60 other than 21 people who were positive (excluding the first confirmed person). In addition, there were 60 contacts with other confirmed patients, 8 contacts with other confirmed patients, and 31 people with unknown paths of infection.
The number of deaths increased by 3 to 297. One additional death was related to nursing facility I located in Yangcheon-gu. The deceased was confirmed on the 4th and died on the 23rd during treatment. In addition, a patient who was infected on December 12 last year died on the 21st of contact with an existing confirmed patient, and on December 20th last year, a patient who was confirmed confirmed by an unknown route also died on the 22nd.
