Ahn, who was a team doctor for the triathlon team at Gyeongju City Hall, had no medical qualifications and no medical knowledge. Nevertheless, as if he was a professor at a university hospital with a foreign doctor’s license, he has lied and practiced medical acts on athletes. It is a long-term fraudulent activity targeting players.

In some cases, athletes suffered direct damage due to his medical practices without medical expertise. After he gave manual treatment to the victim who complained of pain in the shin, the athlete suffered damage such as muscle damage. Nevertheless, in the name of medical expenses, he has stolen a total of 268 million won to 21 players over 356 times over 7 years.

The problem is that Ahn not only acted as a false team doctor, but also committed assault, forced harassment, and pseudo rape against players during that period. First, he forcibly molested nine female athletes in their early twenties in the name of massaging or releasing muscles, and even raped one female athlete.

The court rebuked Ahn for all charges and said, “In light of the motive and background of the crime of the defendant, the method and content of the crime, the number and duration of the crime, the degree of damage and the size of the amount of the crime, the guilt is very poor and the guilt is quite high. It is heavy,” he pointed out.

The court sentenced Ahn to an eight-year imprisonment fine of 10 million won, a restriction on employment for children and adolescents-related institutions and welfare facilities for the disabled for seven years, personal disclosure and notification for seven years, and an order of 80 hours to complete the sexual violence treatment program. . However, regarding the order to attach an electronic anklet, he said, “It is difficult to recognize the risk of recidivism, so the claim is dismissed.”

Meanwhile, the sentencing of the triathlon team coach Kim Gyu-bong of Gyeongju City Hall and Jang Yoon-jeong, who are known as another culprit in the death case of the late Choi Choi, was delayed as the defense resumed. All of them are accused of recurring special injuries in relation to the deceased.

Among them, former manager Kim and former player Jang are also suspected of being’food advisers’ to former and current players, including the deceased.
