The new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccination plan is expected to be officially announced next week. The vaccination plan is expected to include details on the target, schedule and quantity of the vaccine.

The government has signed vaccine purchase contracts with individual pharmaceutical companies such as’Covax Facility’, an international vaccine sharing project, and AstraZeneca, Janssen, Pfizer, and Modena, and secured a total of 56 million people. In addition, the contract to bring in an additional 20 million people with Nova Bax was almost finished. Among them, Kovacs is expected to be the first to enter Korea at the beginning of next month when the initial supply of 50,000 people arrives. Pfizer products are being reviewed for vaccines to be received from COVAX.
The government decided to designate and operate 10,000 consigned medical institutions and 250 vaccination centers for vaccination. Among them, 150 have been selected. The remaining 100 sites are receiving applications for candidate sites from local governments across the country.

Among these, the top priority target for vaccination is medical institution workers.
