[그래픽 뉴스] Electric vehicle subsidy
Since 2013, the government has provided subsidies when purchasing electric vehicles to improve air pollution.
Until now, subsidies were paid regardless of vehicle type, but starting this year, the subsidy ratio will be differentiated according to vehicle prices.
As a result, some models of expensive foreign electric vehicles cannot receive subsidies.
Today’s Graphics News, <전기차 보조금>is.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, eco-friendly vehicles including electric vehicles continued to grow steadily last year.
A total of 820,000 eco-friendly cars were newly registered, accounting for 3.4% of all cars.
It is 0.9 percentage points higher than the previous year and is drawing an upward curve.
By car type, electric vehicles increased by 50% from the previous year to 134,000 units, and hybrid vehicles increased by 33% and 115%, respectively, with 670,000 hybrid cars and 900 hydrogen cars.
The government plans to supply 121,000 electric vehicles and 136,000 eco-friendly vehicles this year.
The government subsidy system for this will change starting this year.
The government subsidy is lowered from a maximum of 8.2 million won to 8 million won, and subsidies are differentially paid for each vehicle price.
The subsidy is fully subsidized for electric vehicles with less than 60 million won, and 50% is provided for 60 to 90 million won, but the subsidy is not paid to expensive vehicles of 90 million won or more.
The purpose of differentiating subsidies in this way is to induce electric vehicle price cuts to popularize mid- to low-end entry-level models.
Let’s see how much you can get by car type.
The cars that can receive the maximum government subsidy of 8 million won are Hyundai Kona and Kia Niro and some models.
In addition, subsidies by local governments ranging from 3 million won to 11 million won are added.
In Seoul, local government subsidies are 4 million, so you can receive up to 12 million won.
If you buy a car in Gyeongsangbuk-do with up to 11 million causes, you will be able to receive support up to 19 million won.
On the contrary, there are some electric cars that do not receive subsidies at all.
Last year, the most-selling electric car in Korea, the Tesla Model 3, can receive a subsidy of 3.29 million won to 6.84 million won, and the BMW electric vehicle 3.41 million won. I am no longer eligible for subsidy benefits.
In this case, you will not be able to receive subsidies from local governments that can be received in proportion to the government subsidies.
A reorganization plan for subsidies came out amid increasingly fierce competition for electric vehicles in the automobile industry.
There is also an evaluation that domestic electric vehicles have taken advantage of this reorganization.
Meanwhile, the government has decided to subsidize hydrogen vehicles, which are in the early stages of supply, regardless of the price of the vehicle.
It’s been graphic news so far.
