Athletes participating in the sue “I am in a position to quit exercising”
Joo-Hyun Ahn, an exercise prescriber who was accused of being a key perpetrator of group cruelty, was sentenced to eight years in prison in the first trial in relation to the case where the late Sook-Hyun Choi, a former triathlon national team player, made an extreme choice. But most of the fellow players who took courage to sue the perpetrators said they were in a position to quit the sport, saying no team was looking for us.

Today (22), the court sentenced Ahn Joo-hyun, an exercise prescriber, to a fine of 10 million won for eight years in prison.
Ahn is accused of committing abusive language and cruelty to several players, including late Choi Sook-hyun.
He was also tried for sexual harassment and similar rape by some female athletes.

Fellow athletes who worked out with Choi Sook-hyun also watched the trial today.

However, most of the players who participated in the complaint at the time were unable to find a team.
[고소 참여 선수 부모 : 어느 팀에서도 연락이 오지 않았습니다. 선수들을 보호를 절대 해주지 않아요, 체육계는요. 좋은 시선으로 절대 얘들을 볼 수 없다는 거죠.]
A trial was also held today against coach Kim Gyu-bong and captain player.
Director Kim knelt in a final pleading and begged for forgiveness, but the bereaved families were angry.
The sentence will be held on the 29th.
