Signed a business agreement with Korea Industrial Technology Promotion Agency, KEPCO, and Naju Innovation Industrial Complex

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister Sung Yun-mo), the Korea Industrial Technology Promotion Agency, which is a dedicated organization for energy and industrial development cooperation, the Korea Electric Power Corporation with global competitiveness, and the Naju Innovation Industrial Complex Resident Business Council consisting of companies in the Naju Innovation City. Accordingly, KEPCO and Energy Valley private companies plan to discover the demand for development cooperation projects (ODA) in connection with overseas energy development and investment.

As a specialized management agency, the Korea Industrial Technology Promotion Agency (KIAT) plans projects that meet the development strategies of developing countries based on the demands discovered, and domestic energy companies promote the planned ODA projects.

The government plans to support the feasibility study (F/S) support, linkage between grants and grants such as EDCF, and support subsequent project orders through cooperation channels between governments.

Yun-jong Jeon, head of the Trade and Cooperation Bureau, who attended the agreement ceremony, said, “Through this MOU, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s Energy Development Cooperation Project (ODA) contributes to carbon neutrality and energy deficiency in emerging economies, while helping domestic energy companies enter emerging markets. “We plan to actively support domestic companies to win orders for follow-up projects through consultations with relevant government departments such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Strategy and Finance.”
