SK Bioscience is in charge of the distribution and storage of vaccines in Korea. M2Cloud is the construction of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based control system, and Gtree B&T is a distribution partner.(29,050 -3.17%) Dongwon I-Farm will each participate.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced on the 22nd that SK Bioscience has been selected as the institution to operate a storage and distribution system to safely transport the domestic Corona 19 vaccine to the inoculation institution. The contents were released the day before through the National Public Procurement Service’s Nara Market.

Corona 19 vaccines have different storage and distribution conditions for each manufacturer and various vaccination locations for each vaccine, so it was decided to establish a distribution and storage system until vaccination after the vaccine arrived in Korea.

SK Bioscience is in charge of distribution and storage of AstraZeneca, Janssen, Pfizer vaccines, and Cobax Facility vaccines. By establishing a customized cold chain management system for each vaccine, it plans to operate a system that can monitor temperature maintenance and delivery routes in real time during vaccine transportation.

M2Cloud participates in the operation of this system as a partner. It is planning to build an IoT-based integrated control center.

Gtree B&T and Dongwon I-Farm participate as distribution partners. They plan to build and operate a refrigerated and refrigerated distribution center. The purpose is to have a system that can manage the supply and receipt of vaccines and inventory management by vaccine and vaccine supply by region and by vaccination agency. Dongwon I-Farm plans to establish a logistics center by securing a Korean cryogenic distribution warehouse for storing vaccines at -75 degrees Celsius.

The quarantine authorities are also preparing to install cryogenic freezers to maintain the cold chain of Pfizer vaccines. Each vaccination center, which is an mRNA vaccination institution, plans to equip and install a cryogenic freezer to maintain vaccine storage conditions and ensure that vaccination can be performed without disruption within the vaccine expiration date.

To this end, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention decided to provide a government subsidy so that local governments can purchase cryogenic freezers through companies registered in the Nara Market Shopping Mall. The number of units purchased is 250. The company registered in the Nara Marketplace is Korea Science(20,800 +0.73%), Ilshin Bio(8,260 0.00%)Bass, Thermo Fisher Scientific, etc.

“The establishment of a vaccine distribution management system is the most important task for safe vaccination,” said Jung Eun-kyung, head of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “We will prepare carefully and without disruption until the vaccination is implemented.”
