Women’s golf legend Annika Sorenstam (51, Sweden), who participated in the official tournament after 13 years, was also unable to overcome the tension.

Sorenstam won the LPGA Tour Diamond Resort Tournament of Champions ($1.2 million in total prize money) held at the Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club Orlando (par 71, 6645 yards) in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA on the 22nd (Korean time). Participated in the division.

Active LPGA Tour players and sports and celebrities will play in this competition. However, the players determine the winner by 72-hole stroke play. Celebrities scored 10 points for Albatross, 8 points for Hole-in-One, 5 points for Eagle, 3 points for Buddy, 2 points for par, 1 point for Bogie, and 0 points for double Bogie.

Sorenstam, who retired in 2008 after recording 72 victories on the LPGA tour, appeared on the course after 13 years. Sorenstam hit a 2 over par 73 with 1 birdie and 3 bogies. In terms of points, it is 34 points, which is 7th place alone and 7 points less than the leading bard fish (41 points).

Sorenstam said in an interview after the first round, “It was a long time since I participated in the tournament and I was excited, but I was also nervous. I worked hard to keep my score, but it was a good time to be with good people.”

Sorenstam was the best star on the LPGA tour, but the shot didn’t go as far as I wanted to this day. He said, “I practiced a lot ahead of the competition, and I felt good. But when I tried to start the competition, my body started to stiffen.”

He added, “I tried to find the rhythm and tempo, but it was difficult because I haven’t looked for it for 13 years.”

Still, Sorenstam said that he had fun playing. “I am happy to be able to compete in this competition. I will enjoy the rest of the rounds, and if there are a few buddies in the future, things can be different,” he said.
