In season 2 of MBC VR human documentary’Meet You’, Kim Jung-soo reunited in VR with his wife who passed away four years ago.
The reunion of Kim Jung-soo and his wife was revealed under the theme of’Romance’,’Meet You 2’broadcast on the 21st.
Kim Jung-soo decided to appear on the broadcast to meet his wife Seong Ji-hye, who passed away from illness four years ago. However, it was not easy to persuade the five daughters who had not erased the sadness of losing their mother.

Kim Jeong-soo, who left his wife four years ago, was living with five siblings. He expressed his earnest wish that he would like to see his wife’s shadow. But the start didn’t go smoothly. Because adolescent daughters did not like to recall painful memories of their mother. However, Kim Jung-soo contacted the production team that he persuaded his daughters.
My first daughter, Kim Jong-bin, said, “I am preparing a way to live a happier life, but my dad (he asked me to meet my mother)” said, “In a way, it is a beloved woman who gave birth to five children. I heard my dad say,’It’s my last wish.’” He revealed the reason why he decided to appear.
The father and mother’s love that two teenage daughters remember was unusual. The second daughter remembered, “I kissed my mother from time to time when I was working, when I was eating, when I watched TV,” and testified that my dad held my mother as pretty even when my mother was sick and her head fell out.

The production crew decided to implement the space of the house with VR when Seong Ji-hye was alive for Kim Jung-soo’s family. MBC’s special video team implemented VR based on the videos, photos and memories of his family. In addition, a game-like element was added so that the family could feel the connection with Seong Ji-hye.
Sung Ji-hye’s motion capture was done by actor Woo Mi-hwa. Woo Mi-hwa wore a suit with a marker and performed the unique movement of Sung Ji-hye. The voice added a lively feeling by putting the voice of a voice actor on the voice that remained in the video during his lifetime.
Kim Jung-soo met his wife in this realized VR world. Although it is a fictional wife, Kim Jung-soo cried with her neck, and the five siblings who watched the appearances of their mother and father also stole tears and made them quiet.
Meanwhile, the VR human documentary’Meet You’ Season 2’Romance’ will be broadcast on the 28th at 9:20 pm.
