Singer Whee-Sung (real name Choi Hwi-seong 39) is being tried on charges of routinely administering Propofol.
According to industry officials on the 21st, Wheesung was prosecuted last year for routine administration of Propofol, a psychotropic sleep anesthetic and is currently being tried.
Wheesung, who was indicted with his acquaintance Jeon Moo in August last year on the charges of psychopathy under the Narcotics Control Act, is said to have received his first trial at the Andong Branch of the Daegu District Court on the 19th. At the trial, Wheesung is known to have admitted his charges.
Wheesung and Jeon’s Seongogi Day is scheduled for March 9.
According to the Gyeongsangbuk-do Police Agency, Wheesung is accused of taking Propofol several times in December 2019. In the process of checking drug-related intelligence, the police caught Wheesung’s charges of purchasing Propofol and sent it to the prosecution in April of last year with the opinion of the prosecution.
Wheesung was investigated by the prosecution at the time of serving in the military in 2013 for routine administration of Propofol at various places, including dermatology clinics in Gangnam, Seoul from 2011 to early 2013, but in July of that year, he was charged with no charges.
However, when Amy re-disclosed that she had been taking Propofol with Wheesung, she was suspicious that the charges of propofol had been concealed in the past. It was also criticized for being found in a hotel toilet in a hotel bathroom in which he fell while taking a sleep-inducing anesthetic drug.
At the time, it was known that Wheesung was taking the sleep-inducing anesthetic etomidate, but the drug was not classified as a narcotic, but was taken home after an investigation by a reference person.
Regarding this, the agency said, “Wheesung is having a difficult time to handle due to the sudden death of his father and the successive deaths of acquaintances who worked with him, and the difficult events related to last year.” He revealed that he was undergoing psychiatric treatment.
Meanwhile, Amy, who revealed Wheesung’s past charges of propofol, entered Korea on the 20th and stepped on Korean soil after five years of forced harassment.
