U.S. President-elect Joe Biden visited the Apostolic Cathedral of St.

After John F. Kennedy, the second Catholic of all Presidents of the United States, he chose the Cathedral instead of St. John’s Church in front of the White House, which is called the’President’s Church’.

Biden, who stayed overnight at the Blair House, the White House guesthouse the previous day, set off for the cathedral with his wife, Jill Biden, at 8:48 am. CNN reported that Biden was initially scheduled to depart at 8:30, but was delayed by about 20 minutes as Biden waited for President Donald Trump’s farewell event to end.

Biden accompanied Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Representative Chuck Schumer, Republican Senate Mitch McConnell, and House Representative Kevin McCarthy, sending a message of unity.

In particular, Republican Congressman McCarthy was a person who did not acknowledge Biden’s victory, saying that the results of the 11.3 presidential election were manipulated and suspicious of election fraud, the US media evaluated that attending the Mass was meaningful.

Following Mass, Biden moves to the Parliament Building and attends the inauguration ceremony at 11:15 am. At noon, he will be sworn into office and inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States, followed by an inauguration speech on the theme of unity and reconstruction in the United States. Afterwards, Biden will visit the Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, DC, visit the White House, and begin work immediately.
