In the past, bhc signed a lease and rental contract with a BBQ related to the land in Mok-ri, Majang-myeon, Icheon-si, which expired on December 31, 2015.
BBQ filed a lawsuit for damages worth about 19.1 billion won in 2018, claiming that bhc’s failure to fulfill the obligation to deliver land and the building demolition has delayed the construction project of the BBQ theme park, but lost in June last year. BBQ objected to this and immediately filed an appeal, but it also lost.
On that day, the 6th Division of Civil Affairs of the Seoul High Court raised bhc’s hand, saying that all BBQ appeals were dismissed due to the delay in the implementation of the BBQ theme park project and the lack of causal relationship between the default of the bhc debt.
A bhc official said, “Currently, BBQ is continuously carrying out unreasonable lawsuits.”
Meanwhile, BBQ Chairman Hong-geun Yoon owns land (1-13 Mok-ri, 1-16 Mok-ri) and buildings in Majang-myeon, Icheon-si since October 2002, and has installed and operated research centers, factories, and educational facilities.
bhc acquired ownership of the Mok-ri 1-13 land and building in 2011, and sold the land to BBQ in 2013 through the process of separating bhc from BBQ. Later, bhc signed a lease agreement for the Mok-ri 1-13 land with BBQ to own the buildings on the Mok-ri 1-13 and Mok-ri 1-16 lands, and a use loan agreement for the Mok-ri 1-16 land with BBQ Chairman Yoon Hong-geun. .
