[OSEN=손찬익 기자] On the 20th, the Korea Professional Baseball Players Association (Chairman Euiji Yang) issued a statement on the behavior of the players’ cheating and damaging their dignity.

KBO (Governor Ji-Taek Ji) judged that the recent occurrence of Doosan Hyun-wook Jung and Kwon Ki-young’s participation in sports toto and illegal internet gambling as a serious issue that could threaten the foundation of the league, and managed the clean baseball-related squad on the 15th and prevented recurrence. A letter was sent to all clubs requesting that they do everything.

The Athletes Association apologizes to the professional baseball fans as an organization responsible for player management and training, taking responsibility for the recent misconduct and damage to the dignity of some players. The Association of Players cooperates with KBO to prevent recurrence. We will do our best to do our best.”

He added, “Players should once again reflect on their social responsibilities as a professional baseball player, and recognize that illegal gambling and gambling in violation of the law will never be forgiven.”

The athletes’ association said, “The athletes’ association, which represents Korean professional baseball players, feels a great sense of responsibility for this situation. Although the athletes’ association aims to protect the rights and interests of athletes and improve the welfare of the athletes, it can prevent damage to the dignity of the athletes rather than unconditionally protecting the athletes. We promised that we will make sure that players have a sense of responsibility through the players’ cooperative’s own sanctions, and at the same time, we will actively cooperate for the effectiveness of the clean baseball training conducted by KBO.

Finally, “We apologize once again for damaging the dignity of some players that may threaten the basis of the KBO League, and we will continue to strive to become a professional baseball player who can be loved by fans and set an example.” . /[email protected]
