The athletes’ association also said,’The athletes’ association representing Korean professional baseball players feels a great sense of responsibility for this situation’.’The athletes’ association aims to protect the rights and interests of athletes and promote welfare. He emphasized that we will make sure that players have a sense of responsibility through self-imposed sanctions by the Athlete Association to prevent behavior, and at the same time, we will actively cooperate for the effectiveness of the clean baseball training conducted by KBO.
He also promised,’We once again apologize for the acts of damage to the dignity of some players that may threaten the basis of the KBO League, and that we will continue to strive to become a professional baseball player who can be loved by fans and as an example.
Meanwhile, Jeong Hyeon-wook accompanied a Doosan official to the Songpa Police Station in Seoul on the 14th to investigate illegal gambling. The threats related to the former Doosan player who had been withdrawn in the past are also expected to be revealed through investigation.
