As early as the 20th, President Moon Jae-in is expected to replace the ministers of four to five ministries, including Park Young-sun, Minister of Small and Medium Venture Business. An official from the passport said on the 19th, “As Minister Park Young-sun goes out to run for mayor of Seoul, there is a high possibility that the office will be reopened this week.” In addition, considering the schedule for the Democratic Party to enter the contest for candidates for mayor from the 22nd, there is a possibility that the reshuffle including Minister Park will take place earlier than this. Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Food, and Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy are cited as the ministries for the reorganization. As it was President Moon’s pledge to make the ratio of female ministers to 30%, several names of women are mentioned as candidates for the new ministers. Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority’s Chairman Lee Yeon-seung, the first female doctor in shipbuilding in Korea, goes up and down as a candidate for the Minister of Maritime Affairs, along with Democratic Party lawmaker Jeon Jae-soo, re-elected from Busan. After the reorganization, President Moon is expected to conduct a greeting as the Blue House secretary. At the end of last year, President Moon accepted the resignations of Secretary General Roh Young-min and Chief Min Jeong-ho Kim Jong-ho. The secretaries of the Civil Affairs Office, who were responsible for the disciplinary action of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, and the secretaries of the Policy Office returning to the Ministry of Economy, are considered to be replaced.
