Tomonobu Itagaki, famous for the creators of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, returns as a developer with the establishment of a new studio.

On the 17th, Tomonobu Itagaki released an interview with Bloomberg to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Xbox through his SNS. According to Itagaki, there was a content that was omitted from the article for reasons of volume, but the person himself published the full interview with permission from the media. In the interview, Itagaki recently announced that it had set up a new studio called Itagaki Games. He said, “I was in charge of training my juniors for the past 4 years, and now I want to make a game again,” he said. “I set up a company for this.”

In the early 2000s, Tomonobu Itagaki made the Ninja Iden and Dead or Alive series at Tekmo, making him known as a star developer. After leaving Tecmo, he established the Valhalla Games Studio in 2010, raising expectations from fans. However,’Devils Third’, the game produced at the time, was not well-received due to its low level of completeness, and in the end, Itagaki resigned from Valhalla Games in 2017. He announced the return of the developer by establishing a new studio named after him four years later.

It has yet to be revealed what kind of games his company is making for Tomonobu Itagaki.
