
Shinhan BNPP Asset Management (CEO Chang-gu Lee) held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders at Shinhan BNPP Asset Management headquarters located in Yeouido on the afternoon of the 15th and changed the company name to Shinhan Asset Management.
Shinhan Financial Group and BNP Paribas Asset Management Holding (hereinafter referred to as BNPP AM), which hold shares in Shinhan BNPP Asset Management, have a stock purchase agreement (SPA) in which 35% of the Shinhan BNPP Asset Management shares held by BNPP AM are sold to Shinhan Financial Group on the 30th of last month. Through this, Shinhan BNPP Asset Management became a 100% complete subsidiary of Shinhan Financial Group.
On this day, Shinhan BNPP Asset Management changed its name to Shinhan Asset Management Co., Ltd. through an extraordinary general shareholders’ meeting, and appointed Jae-eun Lee, Professor of Hongik University Business School and Professor Park Young-gyu, Sungkyunkwan University Business School, as new outside directors.
