The number of new coronavirus infections (Corona 19) in Korea has recorded 500 new cases for three consecutive days, and the’third epidemic’ of Corona 19 is showing a gradual decline. However, as the number of cumulative corona19 infections continues, with more than 600 cumulative confirmed cases related to the BTJ Heating Center in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, the quarantine authorities are not releasing tensions.
The Central Defense Response Headquarters announced that as of 0 o’clock on the 14th, the number of new corona19 confirmed cases was 524, down 37 from the previous day. There were 10 additional deaths and the average fatality rate in Korea was 1.69%.
The spread of Corona 19 is more modest. In the last week, the number of new confirmed cases per day was 674 → 641 → 657 (corrected from 664) → 451 → 537 → 561 (corrected from 562) → 524. The average number of confirmed cases per day for the last week (January 8-14) is 578.

Looking at the route of infection on the day, there were 496 local outbreaks and 28 foreign inflows, of which 314 confirmed cases in the metropolitan area, including 162 in Gyeonggi, 131 in Seoul, and 24 in Incheon. Nationally, 17 new cases have been confirmed.
There were 28 confirmed overseas inflows, two more than 26 the previous day. Eleven of the confirmed cases were confirmed during quarantine at the airport or port. The remaining 17 were tested positive while self-isolation at residential or temporary living facilities in Gyeonggi (9), Seoul (3), Gyeongbuk (2), Incheon, Gwangju, and Ulsan (1 each).
The number of deaths increased by 10 from the previous day to 1,195. The average fatality rate in Korea is 1.69%. The number of patients with severe gastric disorders was 380, an increase of 6 from the previous day. The number of confirmed patients released from quarantine until this day was 55,772, up 1,136 from the previous day, and 13,761 patients are currently undergoing quarantine treatment.

To date, the number of tests conducted after reporting suspected corona19 patients in Korea is 4.95,359, of which 4.84,889 cases were negative, and the remaining 169,742 cases are waiting for the results.
On the other hand, group infections related to the BTJ National Center of the Nations continue. The number of corona 19 confirmed cases related to the BTJ Universal Center has been 662 so far, and the total number of exposed people is 3,013.
