Ahn Chang-lim (Fillux), a Korean male judo leader, won the 2021 Doha Masters.
Ahn Chang-rim, 13th in the world ranking, extended Japan’s Soichi Hashimoto (2nd in the world ranking) in the 2021 Doha Masters Men’s 73kg final held at the Lusail Sports Arena in Doha, Qatar on the 13th (Korean time). Overpowered, won the gold medal.
Ahn Chang-rim and Hashimoto had experience of facing each other in the finals of the Baku World Championships in 2018. He competed five times in his career, but Ahn Chang-rim has the upper hand with 3 wins and 2 losses.
Ahn Chang-rim and Hashimoto fought a fierce catching fight, but could not win points. However, in the subsequent extension, Hashimoto committed a foul while attempting an unreasonable attack, and Ahn Chang-rim’s victory was declared.
Ahn Chang-rim won the 3rd gold medal in this tournament following the men’s 60kg class Kim Won-jin (Ansan City Hall) and 66kg class Ahn Paul (Namyang City Hall).
