Kakao (co-representatives Yeo Min-su and Cho Soo-yong) announced on the 13th that it will release’Emoji Plus’, which allows you to use emoticons without restrictions on a monthly basis. In commemoration of the opening, Kakao temporarily discounted the product price at 3,900 won (normal price 4,900 won), and offers a one-month free trial opportunity for regular subscribers.

Emoji Plus subscribers can freely use more than 150,000 emotes (individual emoticons per message) to suit their emotions and situations, and can download up to five favorite emoticons in different types. It is expected that the utilization and satisfaction of users will be higher as it is possible to express a lot more rich and diverse emotions than purchasing a single item of emoticons (2,500 won per 24 types).

Subscribers can easily use emoticons through automatic recommendations. When a user enters a word in the KakaoTalk chat window, an emoticon is recommended, and an emoticon that fits the context of the conversation is sent. In addition, it can be conveniently used by organizing emoticons with frequently used emotions such as’thank you’,’sorry’,’what are you doing?’,’busy’, and’sleepy’, etc.

Users who want to subscribe to products can create a’KakaoTalk Wallet’ in the KakaoTalk More tab and then apply for a regular subscription. Existing single product sales remain the same.

A Kakao official said, “We have been listening to the opinions of numerous creators and users by leading the growth of the emoticon ecosystem for the past 9 years, and based on this, we have launched a new monthly fee product. I hope that I can express myself more freely and abundantly.”

Meanwhile,’Talk Drawer Plus’, which has been in beta service for the past year, has been officially released. Previously, only KakaoTalk conversation history could be backed up, but with Talk Drawer Plus, digital assets scattered in each chat room such as photos, videos, files, links, and contacts can be safely stored in one place. In addition, automatic backup in real time is possible, so it can be usefully used even in unavoidable situations such as loss or breakdown of a mobile phone. Tok Drawer Plus provides 100G capacity for 990 won per month.
