Samsung Electronics is advancing into the domestic water purifier market with a water purifier of’BESPOKE’, a lifestyle-customized home appliance.

Samsung Electronics unveiled the’Bespoke Water Purifier’ for the first time through an online media briefing on the 12th. ‘Bespoke Water Purifier’ is a product that received an innovation award at CES 2021, the world’s largest electronics and IT exhibition, and is an undersink type direct water purifier that enhances visual effects and space efficiency by installing a water purifier filter inside the sink.

In addition to the basic water purification function, the Bespoke water purifier is advantageous in that the user can select and purchase the desired hot water and cold water function modules. For example, if your refrigerator already has a water purification function, you only need to purchase a water purification module and then buy and add only the cold water or hot water module when you need the cold water or hot water function later. The faucet, the part where water comes from the water purifier, can be installed freely by dividing it into a main (main) and auxiliary (sub) faucet in consideration of the kitchen environment.

The main faucet can be installed in an easy-to-reach place for drinking water, and the sub-faucet can be placed near the sink to quickly and comfortably receive water when washing or cooking fruits with purified water. In addition, the faucet can be rotated by 120 degrees, so water can be conveniently discharged no matter where it is located.

It is also a strength to apply a four-stage filter system. This product has been certified for a total of 65 items by NSF, the US health and safety agency. The maximum amount of purified water is 2500 liters, which is the amount that a family of four can drink for one year, assuming that 6.8 liters are consumed per day.

The’auto smart care solution’ that manages the water purifier itself was also applied. The stainless steel pipe, which is strong against corrosion and has excellent durability, automatically sterilizes once every 3 days, and when it is not used for 4 hours, the water accumulated in the inner tube is automatically discharged so that it can be used sanitarily.

In addition, artificial intelligence (AI) technology is applied to automatically identify water usage data, and when the filter usage reaches 95%, a replacement alarm is sent to the consumer via mobile. Above all, the user convenience has been enhanced by adding a function to finely control the amount of water in 10ml increments.

“The Bespoke water purifier is an innovative product that is finely tailored to the consumer situation and taste,” said Kim Sun-young, a product planning pro at Samsung Electronics’ Household Appliances Division. It will be presented in the domestic market.”
