Marine FC of the 8th division, who played the third round of the FA Cup with Tottenham, made a profit of £350,000 (about 520 million won).
Marine FC lost to Tottenham 0-5 in the 3rd round of the 2020-21 FA Cup held at Crosby Rosst Park in Merseyside, England on the 11th (Korean time).

At that time, the match between the two teams was unattended in the aftermath of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19). However, Marine FC sold 3,697 virtual tickets worth £10 (about 15,000 won) and earned a profit of about £300,000 (about 450 million won).
Virtual tickets were just the name of buyers on the stadium walls, but Marine FC fans and some other football fans bought virtual tickets to commemorate the match between the two teams.
In addition, Marine FC made a total of £350,000 by selling broadcasting rights and game MD products.
According to British media Talk Sports, the profit Marin earned from this Tottenham match is the amount that the team can run for a minimum of 10 to 20 years. Marine FC coach Neil Young said, “The FA Cup match against Tottenham was of great financial help to our team.”
Marine captain Nyaall Cummins also said, “The profits from Tottenham can be a big boost to the club’s operation.”
Meanwhile, the Marine FC players received the Tottenham players’ new uniforms in commemoration. In the situation where it was impossible to exchange the uniforms worn by players after the game due to the COVID-19 prevention guidelines, Tottenham prepared a new uniform in advance and presented it to the Marine FC players who played the day.
