This is a part of the year-end settlement of candidate Park Bum-gye.
1.5 million won was deducted in the name of the spouse’s basic deduction.
This deduction is applied only when the spouse’s annual income does not exceed 1 million won.
However, candidate Park’s wife earned about 9 million won a year in rental income in her own shopping mall.
Some point out that the tax was unfairly reduced because of not reporting income properly.
Candidate Park said, “I did not know whether it was a rental business because it was managed by my family.”
Later, knowing this, he explained, “I paid about 2 million won of the tax I paid less.”
Earlier, Candidate Park said that he did not know that the omission of his wife’s land in the property report of a public official was’it happened between his wife and mother-in-law’.
In the opposition party, whenever there is a controversy over the property of passport officials, a voice comes out that is not blamed on the spouse.
Kim Eui-gyeom, a former Blue House spokesman, said in the controversy over the purchase of a building in Heukseok-dong in 2019, it was a decision made by my wife without consulting.
Last year, Congressman Kim Hong-geol attributed the omission of the right to sell the apartment as a mistake by his wife and staff.
In the midst of this, suspicion of illegal study in the candidate Kim Jin-wook was raised.
Candidate Kim was a visiting researcher in the United States after taking parental leave in 2015 while working at the Constitutional Court.
The people’s strength insisted that if you apply for parental leave and go to study abroad, it is illegal and you should be disciplined.
