According to this result, the support of the people’s strength was 33.5%, which was 3.1 percentage points ahead of the previous week. The Democratic Party fell 0.4 percentage points to 29.3%.

The difference in the support ratings between the two parties widened out of the margin of error (±2.0 points to the 95% confidence level) with a difference of 4.2 percentage points.

Based on the weekly survey commissioned by YTN, the power of the people is showing an upper hand for the sixth week after reversing the Democratic Party’s approval rating in the first week of December. The largest gap was 4.5 percentage points in the fourth week of December.

The power of the people surpassed the Democratic Party in Seoul and Busan, ahead of the by-election in April. In Seoul, the Democratic Party was 29.0% and the people’s power was 32.7%, and the people’s power was 3.7 percentage points. In the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions, the gap was 17.5 percentage points, with 21.3% of the Democratic Party and 38.8% of the people’s power.
