US Vice President Mike Pence will not rule out the possibility that President Donald Trump will be deprived of his duty by invoking Article 25 of the Amendment, CNN reported, citing sources on the 10th (local time).

Vice President Pence said he could put the 25th Amendment on the table if President Trump was more insecure, sources said.

On the 6th, after President Trump’s polarity supporters rioted invading the Capitol, the need for the 25th Amendment has been raised in politics, centered on the Democratic Party.

Article 25 of the Amendment allows the Vice President to act on behalf of the President if it is judged that he is unable to serve.

This is triggered when the Vice President and the majority of the Cabinet agree, but if the President rejects it, dismissal is possible only when at least two-thirds of the Senate and House agree on it.

Until now, Vice President Pence has not publicly addressed the issue of invoking Article 25 of the Amendment, but has been known to have a negative opinion.

On the 7th, the New York Times reported that Vice President Pence was opposed to the request for the invocation of Article 25. It is also unclear whether Vice President Pence will announce his position to Congress, but said the decision was supported by several cabinet members.

Vice President Pence rejected President Trump’s request for a’revolt’ at a joint meeting of the Senate and House to certify President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election on the 6th.

Vice President Pence has been a representative figure of the Trump Loyalists. Vice President Pence presided over the joint meeting and announced that President Biden’s victory was certified. In a letter to lawmakers just before the start of the joint meeting, he drew a line with President Trump, confirming that he had no authority to abolish the electoral vote.

In response, President Trump publicly accused Pence of not having the courage to do what should have been done to protect our country and the Constitution. He argued that he had abandoned the work of giving each state.

CNN quoted Vice President Pence’s aide on this day, hoping that Vice President Pence and his assistants would serve as a bridge for the next administration. They reported that they were helping.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party is expected to propose a second impeachment proceeding against President Trump as early as the 11th. Democratic House Vice Chairman Catherine Clark said in an interview with CNN on the 8th that if Vice President Mike Pence does not invoke Article 25 of the Amendment, he will pursue impeachment.

When asked when the impeachment bill could appear in the House of Representatives, he insisted that voting in mid-next week is possible as soon as possible, Congress media The Hill said.

Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and Democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer urged the immediate launch of the 25th Amendment to resign President Trump early. This is a provision that allows the Vice President to act on behalf of the President, with the consent of the Vice President and a majority of the executive government ministers if it is judged that the President is unable to properly perform his powers and duties.

However, when Vice President Mike Pence, who should play a major role in invoking Article 25 of the Amendment, rejected this, the Democratic Party turned to impeachment. In fact, if the impeachment bill is passed, President Trump will be the president who will be impeached more than once during his tenure in US history.
