It was found that unmarried men and women with real estate in their own name were more likely to associate with the opposite sex than those who did not.

According to a report on the’Analysis of Factors Affecting Relationships and Marriage Intention of Unmarried Populations’ published in the latest issue of’Health and Social Studies’ of the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, if there is a real estate in the name of the person, the possibility of dating of the opposite sex is 27.9. It was counted as an increase of %p.

This study analyzed the contents of an online survey conducted on 3,2 unmarried men and women under the age of 25 to 39 nationwide from August 31 to September 13, 2018.

Depending on the gender, women increased by 28.8%p and men increased by 25.9%p, indicating that if a woman has a’my home’, they are more likely to have a relationship with the opposite sex.

However, it was found that the ownership of real estate did not significantly affect the relationship between the opposite sex in case of economic activities such as attending a current job.

The report said, “When real estate in the name of the person is considered as a variable representing the economic ability of the person or parents, it can be seen that the relationship between the opposite sex of those who own the real estate will increase.” Therefore, among them, the ownership of real estate did not have a significant effect on the relationship of the opposite sex.”

Among the respondents who own real estate in their own name, a high percentage of respondents said they were willing to marry if they paid all the housing expenses without the help of their parents.

This trend was particularly noticeable among men, and unmarried men were 83.6%p higher in their willingness to marry than those who received financial assistance from their families when they owned their own real estate. Females were 43.6%p higher than those without.

The report interpreted this as “not only owning real estate in his/her own name, but also increasing the willingness to marry men who can afford to pay for it.”

Also, those who engage in economic activities regardless of gender were 2.6 times more likely to associate with the opposite sex than those who did not.

It was 2.8 times higher for men and 2.3 times higher for women.

The higher the income, the higher the probability of dating, and the gap between regular workers and non-regular and self-employed workers was found to be large.

According to the report, non-regular workers were 41.4%p less likely to associate with the opposite sex than regular workers, and family workers who were self-employed or family workers who worked without regular pay at their own private businesses were 42.2%p lower.

A similar trend was also observed in the item asking if they are willing to marry.

In the case of non-regular workers, marriage intentions decreased by 42.9%p compared to those of regular workers.

There was also a large difference according to gender. Non-regular men had 53.5%p less intention to marry than regular men, and non-regular women 26.2%p lower than regular women.

The report said, “Some of the so-called’N four generations’ may be selectively unmarried, but there are many cases where they are forced to give up due to economic problems, etc.,” said the report. “There is a need for a comprehensive understanding including abandonment of marriage and love abandonment.” He pointed out.
